Want to make a difference in your community? It all starts with a conversation. The Community Foundation of Central Georgia is hosting On the Table Macon once again, an initiative that brings together community members from across Central Georgia to discuss and brainstorm ideas for improving their communities. Click here to see the different tables available.

Conversations start Monday, March 27 and go through Friday, March 31. During the week, participants will engage in conversations that impact their communities. The discussions will focus on specific topics, and participants will be encouraged to brainstorm solutions that can make a difference. Each table will decide where they want to take the conversation, and we hope that everyone will join in to share their ideas.

On The Table has a proven track record of success, with previous conversations leading to the creation of impactful projects, such as the Laundromat Library Program led by the United Way of Central Georgia. This year, On The Table will resume in-person meetings, and hosts and super hosts will lead conversations on various topics, such as “Fun Things To Do in Macon” hosted by NewTown Macon, “Where have all the carpenters gone?” by Historic Macon Foundation, or “Entrepreneurial Support Network” hosted by Triangle Arts Macon.

Following the conversation, participants will be invited to take a community survey to gather insights and understand perspectives. We encourage all community members to join the conversation and share their ideas.

To participate in On The Table, interested individuals should visit the On The Table website (www.onthetablecentralga.com) to register by selecting their preferred conversation based on topic, date, or county. Space is limited, so we encourage individuals to register quickly for topics they are interested in.

We look forward to seeing you at On The Table and being a part of a movement of thousands of Central Georgia residents who are building relationships and taking action to benefit our neighborhoods and the public good. This initiative would not be possible without the generous funding of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
