Middle Georgia State College, Macon-Bibb County to Observe Veterans Day at WWI Memorial

Middle Georgia State College and the Macon-Bibb County government will jointly observe Veteran’s Day at a ceremony in downtown Macon on Tuesday, November 11.
 
Mayor Robert Reichert will join Middle Georgia State President Christopher Blake at the World War I memorial at the base of Coleman Hill for the ceremony, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. Students from Middle Georgia State will be planting flowers at the memorial prior to the ceremony.
 
The ceremony will include a presentation of the colors, the playing of the National Anthem, remarks by Reichert and Blake, two readings and the laying of a wreath. The event is open to the public.
