Macon — Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon man Tuesday on allegations he started a fire at a home on New Clinton Road Oct. 7, 2017, with the intent to murder a man inside.

Rodney Kevin Curry, 46, is charged with arson in the first degree and aggravated assault, according to an indictment filed in Bibb County Superior Court.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.

Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
