Macon — Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon man Tuesday in the Sept. 24 kidnapping and robbery of a woman in a Bloomfield Road parking lot.

Marquethus Arcellous Flowers, 24, is charged with armed robbery, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault, hijacking a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Flowers is accused of robbing the woman at gunpoint, placing her into the trunk of her car and driving off in the car.  An indictment in the case was filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.

Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
