Macon — A Macon man was indicted Tuesday on allegations he broke into a man’s Brigham Street home Nov. 5, robbed the man, and beat him with a metal stick.
Stephen Michael Bilow, 40, is charged with burglary, robbery by force, aggravated assault and possession of methamphetamine. An indictment in the case was filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.
An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.
Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
