Macon-Bibb lowering water level at Lake Tobesofkee

November 17, 2023

Macon-Bibb County will be lowering the lake level at Lake Tobesofkee during the winter season beginning December 4, 2023.

This will allow property owners to build and/or repair work on docks, boathouses, and seawalls. This will also allow the County to make needed repairs and improvements to our boat ramps, beaches, swimming areas, and shorelines inside public parks.

Any construction projects or major repairs done to docks, boathouses, or seawalls must be approved by the Lake Tobesofkee Office, Macon-Bibb County Engineer’s Office/Macon Water Authority, and SafeBuilt.

The lake level will be six feet below level until February 12, 2024.
