The Peyton Anderson Foundation has committed to making Downtown Macon safer by donating $200,000 to the County to purchase ATVs aimed to patrol areas of Downtown Macon and the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail.

“This will allow us to monitor parts of our Downtown in a more efficient way that would involve being able to use these ATVs to ride alongside the river, down the trail, to point out some issues we may have, but also to provide extra security to those using those paths,” said Mayor Lester Miller.

The plan for this initiative is still underway. You can read the full resolution here.
