On Monday, District 7 Commissioner Bill Howell took a trailer packed with linens to the Brookdale Resource Center. Over a weekend, he drove to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to pick up hundreds of bed sheets and towels for the residents.

Vacasa Pigeon Forge, a vacation rental company, donated the gently used linens, with the agreement that Commissioner Howell would transport them to the Resource Center.

“I didn’t even think twice about driving to Pigeon Forge when we knew Vacasa would make this donation,” said Commissioner Howell. “We’re so grateful for the donation to residents. We know that sheets and towels are always needed at Brookdale.”

Vacasa has been donating the linens since the Center opened in 2021. If you’d like to make a donation to the Brookdale Resource Center, visit www.unitedwaycg.org/BrookdaleResourceCenter.
