Macon — Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon doctor Tuesday on charges of fraud in obtaining a controlled substance and attempt to violate the Georgia Controlled Substance Act.
Charles Oyakhilomen Ebhohimen, 54, is accused of unlawfully obtaining testosterone cyprionate, a Schedule III controlled substance, from the Publix Pharmacy on Bowman Road June 7, 2016, by knowingly and intentionally presenting a fraudulent prescription. His indictment additionally alleges he presented a fraudulent prescription for the same medicine July 2, 2016, at the CVS on Bass Road.
An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.
Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
