Macon — Bibb County grand jurors have indicted two women in connection with a 2016 traffic crash that resulted in the death of a Lizella man.
Brenda Jeanette Wilder, 33, of Macon, and Dawn Williams, 52, of Forsyth, are charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree and driving under the influence stemming from an Oct. 7, 2016, traffic crash on Fulton Mill Road that resulted in the death of Daniel Wilder, 39, according to an indictment returned Tuesday.
The indictment alleges both women were driving under the influence of methamphetamine to the extent that it was less safe to drive.
An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.
Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
