On Thursday, October 28 our community came together at Rosa Jackson Center to recognize Lights on After School. Nationally, events like this celebrate after school programs and was held this year on October 28, 2021.
The national day promotes the importance of quality after school programs in the lives of children, families and communities. More than 315,000 of Georgia’s youth are alone and unsupervised between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., which are the peak hours of juvenile crime.
