Buying & Selling
The Buying and selling of vehicles and equipment is a combined effort of The Macon-Bibb County Finance(Purchasing Division) and Fleet Services. Vendors List and Bid Calls are handled through the Finance Department’s Purchasing Division. The Vehicle Maintenance Department’s role is to assist Macon-Bibb County departments with writing specifications for vehicles/equipment, provide justification analysis for vehicle replacements, and manage surplus or salvaged inventory, vehicles and equipment.
Macon-Bibb County utilizes on-site and online auction methods to sell salvaged vehicles, equipment and surplus inventory.
